Improv Comedy

Summer Camp (ages 8–16)

Say YES—AND to the funniest week of the summer! This fast-paced, creative camp gives young performers the tools to think on their feet, write original scenes, and turn unexpected moments into comedy gold. Through improv games, character building, and collaborative writing, students build confidence, courage, and skills they’ll use onstage and in life.

🎬 This camp will be joined by the Improv Pro, Brian James O’Connell

Brian James O'Connell is a Los Angeles–based actor, writer, director, filmmaker, and internationally respected improv teacher known throughout the comedy world as “BOC.” A longtime instructor at iOWest and co-founder of The Pack Theater, he is widely recognized for teaching and performing “The Deconstruction,” an influential long-form improv format developed at iO Theater. O’Connell is also part of the comedy collective Dr. God and directed the cult comedy-horror film Bloodsucking Bastards starring Pedro Pascal. In addition to his film and stage work, he serves as a mentor and educator through ALL IMPROV and Camp Improv Utopia, helping train improvisers around the world. Read more about him here:
