AMT (Asheville Minis Theater)
ages 4-7
Introductory Theater Ensemble
AMT’s Introductory Theater Ensemble is designed to spark a lifelong love of performing arts in our youngest students. Through imaginative theater games, age-appropriate singing and movement exercises, and lots of joyful repetition, children learn the fundamentals of performance in a fun, supportive environment.
In this ensemble, young actors will:
Explore storytelling through music, movement, and pretend play
Learn simple choreography and vocal warm-ups
Practice focus, listening skills, and teamwork
Build confidence by sharing ideas and performing small moments
Develop stage awareness and foundational theater vocabulary
This program lays the groundwork for future participation in AMT’s full-scale productions as students grow older. Rather than performing in the larger shows, children in the Introductory Ensemble enjoy a dedicated class series crafted just for them—full of creativity, growth, and age-appropriate learning. The session culminates in a heartwarming end-of-season showcase where parents and families get to see all the skills, joy, and personality their young performers have developed.
It’s a wonderful first step into the world of theater, and a place where every child can shine.
