Introductory Theater Ensemble

AMT’s Introductory Theater Ensemble is designed to spark a lifelong love of performing arts in our youngest students. Through imaginative theater games, age-appropriate singing and movement exercises, and lots of joyful repetition, children learn the fundamentals of performance in a fun, supportive environment.

In this ensemble, young actors will:

• Explore storytelling through music, movement, and pretend play

• Learn simple choreography and vocal warm-ups

• Practice focus, listening skills, and teamwork

• Build confidence by sharing ideas and performing small moments

• Develop stage awareness and foundational theater vocabulary

This program lays the groundwork for future participation in AMT’s full-scale productions as students grow older. Rather than performing in the larger shows, children in the Introductory Ensemble enjoy a dedicated class series crafted just for them—full of creativity, growth, and age-appropriate learning. The session culminates in a heartwarming end-of-season showcase where parents and families get to see all the skills, joy, and personality their young performers have developed.
