Advanced Theater Ensemble
ART is our most advanced theater group, designed for passionate and experienced performers who are ready to fully commit to their craft. This elite ensemble is for actors who take theater seriously and are eager to embrace the rigor, discipline, and artistry of professional-level productions.
ART actors rehearse twice per week on Fridays and Sundays, with rehearsals increasing to 4–5 times per week as showtime approaches. These performers are challenged with full-length musicals (not just JR versions) and have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with adult actors, gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, high-level theater environment.
ART actors are encouraged to deepen their training by enrolling in supplemental dance, music and acting classes, helping them grow into versatile, well-rounded performers. This group is perfect for students who are hungry for growth, committed to excellence, and excited to take on demanding roles with professionalism and passion. ART is where dedication meets opportunity—and stars are born.
Cost is $470 per show (includes a T-shirt), plus the yearly membership fee of $50. This price works out to less than $3 per hour!!! *Costumes are included, but are for use in this musical only and will remain the property of ART.

Trolls the Musical JR.
Trolls The Musical JR. brings the colorful world of Trolls the stage with pop music, comedy, dancing, and nonstop energy. As Trollstice approaches, Poppy, Branch, and the Trolls are preparing the ultimate celebration when the feared Princess Marie Bergenette arrives, threatening to throw the entire kingdom into chaos. Determined to save the day, the Trolls create a hilarious modern version of “Troll Hamlet,” leading to outrageous rehearsals, giant personalities, royal drama, and nonstop fun.
PACA is one of the first groups in the nation to perform this brand-new title! Perfect for both younger performers and high school students, Trolls JR. features hilarious roles, high-energy choreography, and tons of opportunities to shine! Performances: 4 performances on January 16 & 17, 2026
Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals are Fridays from 4-7pm and Sundays from 1-6pm
Holiday Time Off: No rehearsal November 27, 29 or December 20, 25, 27 or January 1, 3 for the holidays
Rehearsal Location: South Asheville, NC
Auditions: Dance audition and parent meeting August 30, vocal auditions are September 4 by time slot, Callbacks are September 6
Fees: $470 (includes T-shirt), plus $50 yearly registration fee. Full payment is due at the time of enrollment. No refunds are given for any reason, even if your junior actor does not get their desired role.

Actors ages 8-18 are welcome to Apply for the show.
There is a mandatory parent meeting from 1-2pm on Aug 30.
Two scheduled absences/conflicts given ahead of time are permitted; Tech and Dress rehearsals are MANDATORY during show week. This will include MISSED SCHOOL DAYS.
Each family is responsible for helping sell tickets and spread the word about the show.
Each family is expected to volunteer ten hours of their time to help with costumes, sets, props or marketing
Each family is expected to volunteer during show week as a dressing room attendant, in hair/make up, or as an usher, etc. All families are asked to stay after the final show for load-out.
Opt-out fees are offered if volunteering presents a hardship

ART's Spring 2027 Show
Hadestown: Teen Edition brings the Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon to the PACA stage in a haunting, powerful musical unlike anything we’ve done before. Inspired by the ancient myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone, the story follows young dreamer Orpheus as he journeys into the underworld to rescue the girl he loves. Told through unforgettable music blending American folk, blues, and New Orleans jazz, Hadestown is a story of love, sacrifice, hope, and what happens when we dare to believe that the world can be different.
Winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Hadestown has become one of the most celebrated musicals of its generation. This full-length Teen Edition has been specially adapted for young performers, with vocal arrangements designed for teen voices and an expandable ensemble that creates incredible opportunities for both featured performers and the Workers of Hadestown. Powerful vocals, bold characters, striking movement, and extraordinary storytelling make this an exciting challenge for serious young performers.
This is one of PACA’s most ambitious productions yet, and we expect interest to be extremely high. Casting opportunities are limited, so reserve your spot today. As part of PACA’s ART (Asheville Repertory Theater), this show is audition-only and not every every will be cast in the show.

Fees: $470 (includes T-shirt), plus $50 yearly registration fee. Full payment is due before final casting is released. No refunds are given for any reason.
*A costume fee not to e$100 will be charged for this show only.
Other Information
Actors ages 13-19 are welcome to audition for Hadestown: Teen Edition.
There is a mandatory parent/actor meeting from 1-2pm on February 14.
All actors will be required to fill out an application to join PACA's company and pay the full show tuition after the first round of cuts (before callbacks).
No refunds are given after the final casting is announced.
Two scheduled absences/conflicts given ahead of time are permitted; Tech and Dress rehearsals are MANDATORY during show week. This will include MISSED SCHOOL days or partial early dismissals.
Each family must help spread the word about the show. Since paid advertising is not permitted for this show, families must conduct extra grassroots flyering and promotional efforts to participate.
Each family must attend at least two promotional events to help ticket sales.
Each actor is required to pay an additional costume fee not to exceed $100. Performers will keep the costume pieces purchased with this fee; any additional costume pieces provided by PACA must be returned after the production.
Each family is expected to volunteer ten hours of their time to help with costumes, sets, props. This is in addition to the marketing time.
